Job description

Founded in 1988, Allegiance Industries is a diversified facility services provider specializing in janitorial, security, and electrical services, serving clients nationwide across manufacturing, healthcare, government, education, and more.
This is an entry-level role, and a great first step for someone creative who wants to grow. You'll help our sales team put together sharp proposals and keep our social media presence active and engaging. We're looking for someone comfortable with computers and creative tools, eager to learn, and ready to take ownership of their work - formal work experience is not required.
It's a full-time, in-office position at our Columbia, SC office (939 S. Stadium Rd), Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Proposal & RFP Support
  • Help build, format, and assemble professional proposals that respond to client and prospect requirements.
  • Track RFP, RFI, and bid deadlines, working backward from due dates to keep submissions on schedule.
  • Read solicitation documents closely, pull out what's being asked, and help shape each proposal to match.
  • Maintain a library of reusable proposal content and past responses so the team isn't starting from scratch each time.

Social Media
  • Create and publish posts at least twice a week across all of our social media accounts.
  • Monitor and manage replies, comments, and messages, responding in a friendly, on-brand voice.
  • Help develop fresh content ideas - graphics, photos, and short copy - that show off our work and company culture.
  • Keep an eye on engagement and share simple takeaways on what's working.

General Sales Support
  • Coordinate with the sales, operations, and leadership teams to gather what's needed for accurate, polished materials.
  • Produce clean, client-ready documents and light marketing collateral.
  • Pitch in on assorted administrative and creative tasks that keep the sales function running smoothly.

No specific work history or previous job experience is required. If you've done anything creative - in school, through a club, freelance, or even as a hobby - we'd love to hear about it. What matters most is creativity, a willingness to learn, and comfort with technology.
Helpful Skills & Interests
  • Creative experience of any kind - Running a social account, making graphics or videos, photography, writing, design projects, or coursework - school, hobby, or freelance all count.
  • Comfort with computers and apps - You pick up new software quickly and aren't fazed by switching between tools throughout the day.
  • AI tools - Openness to using AI assistants (we use Claude) to draft, brainstorm, and speed up everyday work. No prior experience needed - just curiosity.
  • Canva or similar design tools - Any experience making graphics or simple designs is a big plus.
  • Microsoft Excel - Basic familiarity is helpful; we're happy to help you build on it.

Personal Qualities
  • Attention to detail - small errors in a proposal or a post matter here.
  • Good written communication and a sense for clean, professional formatting.
  • Organized and able to juggle a few deadlines at once.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and excited to learn.

WHY ALLEGIANCE
  • Join a stable, established company (in business since 1988) that's still growing and investing in modern tools.
  • A real opportunity to learn the ropes of sales support and social media, with room to grow.
  • A team that embraces creativity, technology, and AI to work smarter.
