Marketing Specialist - Burr Ridge, IL

The Role: The Marketing Specialist role is full-time and onsite five days per week at our Burr Ridge, IL office. Travel is expected to A-Rent locations in Houston, Phoenix, Portland, and Virginia, as well as trade shows and other events nationwide. This role will report directly to the Marketing Manager.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop working knowledge of A-Rent's customers, rental fleet, electrical test equipment, and industry terminology to support marketing initiatives.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute trade shows, conferences, customer events, and other marketing programs, including registration, logistics, vendor coordination, lead management, and post-event reporting.
  • Attend events and travel as needed to support event setup, attendee engagement, lead generation, and overall event execution.
  • Support social media, email marketing, video, and other digital marketing initiatives by developing content, writing copy, coordinating assets, scheduling campaigns, and tracking results.
  • Manage and maintain CRM data, customer information, and targeted marketing lists to support sales and customer growth initiatives.
  • Maintain website content, marketing asset libraries, project trackers, and relationships with marketing vendors and service providers.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Service, and other internal stakeholders to support company growth and marketing objectives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2+ years of marketing experience.
  • A degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating trade shows, conferences, or promotional events from planning through post-event follow-up.
  • Experience creating and publishing social media content, supporting email marketing campaigns, and developing marketing content, including video marketing initiatives.
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as NetSuite, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to travel as needed for trade shows, customer events, and company meetings, including increased travel during the January through April event season, and perform the physical tasks associated with event setup, disassembly, and material handling.
  • Experience with graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar), AI-enabled marketing tools, and/or experience in the electrical infrastructure, industrial, technical, or B2B industries. (preferred)
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

License/Certification: Driver's License (Required)

Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM CT
