The library is a welcoming hub for learning, discovery, and connection - and as a part-time Circulation Assistant, you'll help create an exceptional experience for everyone who walks through the doors. Whether you're assisting students, employees, or community members, you'll play an important role in providing friendly service while helping keep library resources organized, accessible, and ready to support learning.
In this role, you'll greet patrons, answer questions, check library materials in and out, update patron records, and direct visitors to library and campus resources. You'll help maintain the library's collection by shelving materials, organizing reserves, searching for requested items, and ensuring shelves remain accurate and orderly. You'll also assist with interlibrary loan materials, oversee patron use of copiers, scanners, and printers, collect fines and fees, support opening and closing procedures, and collaborate with colleagues to create engaging library displays that encourage exploration and learning. Every day offers opportunities to interact with a diverse campus community while supporting an inviting and well-organized library environment.
