Job Summary
Responsible for maintaining and delivering library services to the academic community; serves as a support position to the Access Services Department; facilitates the circulation of library materials; participates in resource sharing activities; keeps departmental statistics.
The standard schedule for this position will be 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, subject to change between semesters, around holidays, and in the summer. This position reports to the Head of Access Services.
Responsibilities

Provides assistance at Circulation Desk as needed

Assists in Resource Sharing/Lending functions including interlibrary loan and GIL Express transactions

Assists in the collection and maintenance of statistics and preparation of regularly scheduled reports

Responsible for blocking/unblocking student accounts for library holds. Sends invoices for lost items, including GIL Express and ILL items

Assists in ordering general library supplies for the department

Assists in the supervision of student assistants and LAIs

Works on special projects as assigned using report writing, word processing, or spreadsheet computer software

Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • 2 Year / Associate Degree
  • 3+ years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree
  • Professional library experience in a staff position

Proposed Salary
$38,300 - $45,900; Salary offer will be dependent on candidate's experience and qualifications, internal equity considerations, budget availability, and salary administration guidelines.
