Family Liaison/ Child Care Aide Bilingual Spanish
Location: On-Site - Turlock, CA
Schedule: Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Department: Family and Community
Reports to: Program Supervisor/ Director
Pay Range: $20.00- $22.00/hour
Shift: Tuesday & Wednesday 11:00 am-7:30 pm and Thursday - Saturday 8 am-5 pm with occasional modified hours as needed

Position Summary
As a Family Liaison/ Child Care Aide at our Turlock Family Resource Center in the Family and Community Division, you will utilize your experience and skills to deliver parent-child curriculum via classroom instruction, workshops, events, and activities for new parents to learn about parenting their young children. You will also help build their social support while empowering them to become part of a strong parent community!
Key Responsibilities
Family and Community Liaison
  • Recruit and engage families in Center services through building and strengthening relationships with community partners. Identify potential referral sources (community partners) in the center's catchment area.
  • Develop new and maintain existing family referral sources (resource library) to help families with common parenting and early childhood concerns t; provide on-site initial contact with potential participants, when indicated.
  • Provide information about Center programming and referral processes to collaborative community partners.
  • Hold events, workshops, and open houses at the Center to increase enrollment and advance early childhood initiatives in the community.
  • Distribute marketing materials, class in a bag, center calendars, etc., to community partners.
  • Provide on-site intake at referral agencies as required.
  • Participate in outreach events and represent the -Turlock Family Resource Center at community fairs and other events.
  • Develop, evaluate, and revise family & Community Liaison/outreach plan.
  • Work with Center staff to see that new enrollments are appropriate for center services.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and responsiveness to cultural differences, maintaining a perspective of cultural humility in all transactions.

Child Care Aide
  • Provide care and supervision to children whose parents or caregivers remain on the premises attending classes or workshops.
  • Engage children in child watch in age appropriate learning activities.
  • Prepare and provide snacks for children, when indicated.
  • Prepare and clean the Child Watch area before and after sessions.
  • Complete required paperwork
  • Attend required meetings and training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education/Experience:
  • Possess a High School Education
  • Strong engagement and relational skills
  • Proficient at providing community outreach and engagement activities of all kinds (i.e. social media, community events, flyers, etc.)
  • Proficient at providing care and supervision for young children
  • Oral and written proficiency in Spanish and English REQUIRED.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Internet Explorer, and experience with Customer Relationship Management Software a plus.
  • Meets all state required conditions of employment as set forth by Community Care Licensing for a Licensed Community Care facility; i.e. Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance, TB/Health Physical, valid CDL, and clean driving record.
