Position: Maintenance Technician I

Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Compensation

$18.27 – $20.19 per hour

Placement within the pay range is based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform preventative maintenance, routine inspections, and minor building repairs.

  • Help keep library spaces clean, safe, and welcoming through custodial and facility upkeep.

  • Install, assemble, repair, and relocate furniture, shelving, fixtures, and equipment.

  • Maintain library grounds and assist with facility moves and special projects.

  • Safely operate tools, maintenance equipment, and library-owned vehicles.

  • Travel throughout the library system and respond to routine, emergency, and weather-related maintenance needs.

We’re Looking For Someone Who

  • Is dependable, safety-minded, organized, and able to work independently.

  • Has a high school diploma or GED.

  • Has maintenance, custodial, construction, or related experience (preferred).

  • Has a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • Can perform active, hands-on work, including lifting up to 50 pounds independently.
