Job description

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or higher.
 

Tutor's Responsibilities:

  • Implement students goals and objectives as in accordance with IEP and Special Education Case Managers of the Off Site Programming at LPW
  • Utilize appropriate instructional materials
  • Provide instruction and support to students assigned
  • Progress monitor student performance on online credit recovery program
  • Assist with assessments ( classroom and district-wide)
  • Communicate progress to program staff
  • Other duties as assigned by Pupil and Special Education Services and/or Dean of Students
  • Provide behavior support/implement behavioral support plans
  • Support students with social emotional needs
  • Support students attending the district's expulsion program

Experience working with students in an alternative/self- contained setting preferred and/or demonstrated ability to make connections and provide academic support for such students. 

Successful completion of college level coursework or passing of examination as required by the No Child Left Behind Act.

Hours 9:15am - 2:45pm
