Job description

Work Arrangement: Remote/Hybrid Available (Virtual and or Office-Based)

Reports To: Clinical Director

Position Summary

Trusted Therapeutic Services is seeking compassionate, dependable, and clinically skilled therapists to provide high-quality mental health therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults. The therapist will provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy through virtual, office-based, and community-based sessions, supporting clients in improving their emotional, behavioral, and social functioning while working collaboratively with partnering organizations and treatment teams to ensure continuity of care.

The ideal candidate is committed to delivering person-centered, trauma-informed, culturally responsive behavioral health services and maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy to assigned clients through telehealth (virtual), office-based, and community-based sessions, as assigned.
  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address clients' mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with referral sources, rehabilitation staff, case managers, psychiatrists, primary care providers, schools, and other treatment professionals to coordinate services.
  • Monitor client progress and update treatment plans as clinically indicated.
  • Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and appropriate referrals when necessary.
  • Educate clients and families regarding mental health conditions, coping strategies, symptom management, and available community resources.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Complete all documentation within agency and payer-required timeframes.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, trainings, and case consultations.
  • Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, Maryland regulations, and agency policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Active Maryland licensure preferred, including:
    • LCSW-C
    • LMSW
    • LCPC
    • LGPC
    • LCMFT
    • LGMFT
  • Graduate-level clinicians working under approved supervision may also be considered.
  • Minimum of one year of experience providing behavioral health or psychotherapy services preferred.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families with mental health diagnoses.
  • Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary treatment team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities and best practices.
  • Ability to establish strong therapeutic relationships with diverse populations.
  • Strong crisis intervention, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong ethical judgment and commitment to quality client care.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel to community locations, partner sites, or agency offices as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.
