Job Description: Seasonal Carpenter

Job Description

We are currently seeking skilled laborers/installers to join our team. This position is currently seasonal (June-December), with an opportunity for a longer-term position in 2027. This person will be helping to build commercial playgrounds, shade structures, and much more including involvement in our environmental construction and consulting division.

This is an ideal position for someone with prior experience in construction who would like an opportunity to learn a niche trade.

Our work is spread across Long Island, New York. We are only looking for team members with a positive attitude, who are dependable, show pride in their work and are detailed oriented. Previous experience in construction, landscaping, concrete/masonry, and operating machinery desired.

Skills/Requirements - Must be physically able to lift up to 85lbs, able to work outside in harsh weather conditions, must show up on time, must have clean record (mandatory background check), good driving record, must have reliable transportation to and from job sites.

Job Responsibilities

· Perform general laborer tasks as required on each job

· Work in a fast-paced construction environment with a team

· Follow instructions and blueprints to assemble and build structures

· Use hand and power tools to construct playgrounds, structures, etc.

· Willing and able to follow instruction from supervisors

· Ability to lift up to 85lbs.

· Use of equipment such as skid steer, excavator

· Concrete type work

Qualifications

· Valid driver’s license/dependable transportation

- Valid OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification

· Three or more years of experience in construction

· Legal to work in the United States

· Prior experience in concrete, grading, or landscaping (hardscapes) is preferred.
