Indotronix is seeking an :
Onsite Job: Quality Inspector Level 2
Work Location: Oxnard, CA 93030
Shift: 2nd Shift (2:30 PM Midnight)
Work Schedule: 9x80 A
Security Clearance Required?: No
High school diploma or GED
Responsibilities
  • Uses predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed products.
  • Perform required inspections (visual, dimensional, and functional, etc.) on spacecraft components.
  • Uses various measuring devices, such as caliper, micrometer, comparator, pin gages, and Coordinate Measuring Machine.
  • This job has decision-making responsibilities with regards to the acceptance or rejection of work and tests performed.
  • Inspects and performs tests on mechanical, electrical, or structural components and assemblies related to spacecraft components and sub-assemblies. Inspections vary from close tolerance dimensional checks to general surveillance of the work in progress.
  • Support Production Teams: Interface with manufacturing operations and engineering personnel to improve processes and documentation issues.
  • Document Non-conformances: Identify, document, and track non-conforming material, and assist in identifying root causes.
  • Perform Receiving Inspection: Inspect incoming purchased parts and materials against vendor certifications and engineering requirements.
  • Maintain Records: Maintain detailed inspection records, logs, and reports.
  • Accepts, rejects, or reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
  • Work from drawings, diagrams, customer specifications, and inspection instructions.

Basic Qualifications for Quality Inspector 2
  • High school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of additional education and/or direct experience in a quality assurance or inspection role.
  • Experience utilizing various measuring devices, such as caliper, micrometer, comparator, gages, pin gages, and other inspection tools.

Preferred Qualifications for Quality Inspector 2
  • Strong Computer skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend detail control plans, work instructions, drawings, Bill of Materials, Specifications and related criteria.
  • Understanding of GD&T.
  • Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to interface across the organization to achieve effective results.
  • Experience working in a team environment to solve problems and balance workloads.
  • Experience with electronics workmanship standards such as IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 and other related specifications.
  • Experience in Aerospace manufacturing, mechanical assemblies, and/or electronic assemblies.
