Job description

Position Description


The Quality Inspector III is responsible for performing inspections on components and assemblies ranging from diameters of .003 up to .875 and lengths from .100 to assemblies longer than 200. Our products are used across multiple industries such as medical, aerospace, automotive, and others.

Qualified candidates will have experience interpreting manufacturing documents, strong hands-on aptitude, high attention to detail, and the ability to use a variety of inspection tools and equipment.


Position Responsibilities


Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products. Read and interpret CAD drawings, tolerances, SOPs, MPIs, Work Instructions, Inspection Forms, and other related documentation. Use micrometers, calipers, digital comparators, optical measurement systems, tensile testing equipment, and other high-resolution measuring devices to perform inspections. Complete inspection documentation accurately and in real time. Initiate and assist in the closure of non-conformance reports (NCR) as needed. Assist in processing vendor corrective action requests by providing inspection data and product information. Enter and retrieve information using MRP software. Create or update Certificates of Conformance (COC) in accordance with customer requirements. Support preventative maintenance and calibration activities as assigned. Maintain accurate and organized quality records and documentation to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements. Identify potential improvements related to quality, process efficiency, or product performance and communicate them to the Quality Assurance Manager. May assist with hands-on training during onboarding or cross-training activities as assigned, to support departmental knowledge transfer Follow all company safety rules, quality processes, and work standards. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Familiar with inspection sampling plans and measurement principles.
    Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
    Experience with digital video measurement systems and tensile testing software preferred.
    Familiarity with SolidWorks or PDF editing software is a plus.
    Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
