Job description

ARC, located in Greer SC, is an FAA-Certified Repair Station specializing in electrical and mechanical accessories for gas turbine engines, airframes and landing gear components. ARC develops technically challenging DER-approved repairs of precision assemblies, including heated latches, drain tubes, EGT harnesses and pressure transducers. Additionally, ARC develops repairs for easily damaged, yet economical to repair components, such as drain masts and air ducts. ARC also can provide contract reverse engineering and production capacity for the assembly and test of technical components.

The Quality Inspector is responsible for the timely and efficient completion of a variety of daily functions related to all inbound and outbound processes as well as properly accounting for all inventory usage and totals.The Team Member's responsibilities include, but are not limited to the job duties listed below. Punctual and regular attendance is a requirement of this job. Team Member must also comply with the company drug and alcohol program.

Job Duties:

  • Examine contents of all inbound purchased shipments. Verify corresponding paperwork and accurately record shipment in ERP system.
  • Communicate any discrepancies in paperwork.
  • Communicate to Quality Department any non-conforming material via DMR's (Deviated Material Report).
  • Inspect and transfer vendor receipts to inventory.
  • Work side by side with S&R to organize and create locations for stock items to best utilize shelf space and allow efficient picking, counting, tracking and handling of parts.
  • Pull vendor parts from inventory for customer repairs and post parts pulled from inventory in ERP system.
  • Responsible for ensuring physical inventory matches inventory in ERP system.
  • Read CAD drawings and repair specifications to ensure that incoming inspections meet the engineering standards and communicate with the project engineer when necessary.
  • Inspect parts using different tools such as electronic and mechanical test equipment and various measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gage, gage pins, optical comparator, Vision System, etc.) against engineering drawings.
  • Must maintain a high quality level of work that is appropriate for internal and external interaction.
  • Balance workload with minimal supervision.
  • Keep work space, inventory cage and surrounding areas clean and organized.
  • Must be able to work well and communicate with team members in a professional, efficient, clear, and concise manner.
  • Other related duties may be assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent attendance.
  • Detail oriented, organized, efficient and ability to work under pressure.
  • PC skills required - Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Must be able to speak, read and write effectively in English and adhere to oral and written instructions.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Must be able to pick up and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Must comply with DOT drug and alcohol policy.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of related experience in measuring parts with various gauges and able to read engineering drawings.
  • Previous experience using MRP / ERP systems.
