Position Summary

Rapid Response Security is seeking a Level II Security Officer to join The Monarch San Antonio hotel, where security is more than protection-it is part of the guest experience. This role is ideal for a professional who values discretion, service excellence, and calm confidence in a refined hospitality environment.


Our security team plays a key role in protecting the privacy of distinguished guests while maintaining an atmosphere defined by luxury, precision, and professionalism.

Working hours for this position are 6 a.m. through 6 p.m.


What You'll Do

  • Maintain a safe and secure hotel environment while upholding elevated service standards.
  • Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and access points to ensure guest and property safety.
  • Conduct regular patrols of guest areas, public spaces, and back-of-house locations.
  • Respond to incidents, medical situations, or disturbances with professionalism and discretion.
  • Use de-escalation techniques to resolve concerns calmly and without disruption.
  • Provide a hospitality-first presence, assisting guests with directions, luggage, or special requests as appropriate.
  • Support VIP guests, private events, and high-profile functions with discreet security coverage.
  • Complete clear, professional incident reports using digital reporting systems.
  • Work collaboratively with hotel teams to support overall operations when needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Two years' previous security experience in a luxury hotel, boutique hospitality, high-end retail, or similar environment preferred.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with guests, colleagues, and emergency responders.
  • Proven ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
  • Experience using de-escalation and conflict-resolution techniques.
  • Excellent writing skills for accurate, objective incident reporting.
  • Comfortable using computers, digital logbooks, and standard office applications.
  • Valid Level 2 Security License (state-required, e.g., Texas Level 2).
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, walk up and down stairs, lift up to 50 lbs., and work indoors/outdoors as needed.
  • Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
