Lester Prairie School is seeking a 1.0 FTE Elementary Special Education Teacher
2026-2027 School Year
Lester Prairie is a rural community located in eastern McLeod County on the edge of the western suburbs. Located 20 minutes west of Lake Minnetonka and 50 minutes from Minneapolis, Lester Prairie is an ideal location to get the best of both the "city" and "rural" life. We have an enrollment of approximately 400 K-12 students.
Start Date: August 24, 2026 - 181 duty days
License Required: Valid MN SPED licensure.
Responsibilities:
• Create lessons and learning environments that are appropriate for all students with varying level of skills.
• Assess students' developmental, cognitive and social needs and provide developmentally appropriate instruction to meet those needs.
• Establish developmentally appropriate instructional and behavioral expectations for students and share with students and families.
• Regularly assess student learning by using multiple forms of assessment.
• Maintain good communication and cooperation with staff and parents.
• Fulfill responsibilities as defined by the current teachers working agreement.
Pay and Benefits: Salary Range depending on education and experience: $44,582-$83,214. Benefits are in accordance with the teacher labor agreement
