Ketek Group Inc.

From its 10locations in Western and Northern Canada, Ketek is able to provide services andrental equipment to clients throughout the region's oil and gas, mining,construction, and municipal sectors.

Position Background:

The ProjectCoordinator provides project support to the Project Management team. Thisposition works closely with Project Managers to prepare action plans andperform various coordinating tasks such as scheduling, maintainingdocumentation, performing administrative duties, etc. A Project Coordinator maybe required to solely manage a project on their own.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Project Execution & Ownership

  • Own and execute defined project workstreams or deliverables assigned by the Project Manager

  • Act as the primary point of contact for specific scopes, vendors, or internal stakeholders as delegated

  • Manage schedules, resources, and task sequencing for assigned scopes

  • Identify risks, gaps, or conflicts and proactively escalate with recommended solutions

  • Support or lead execution of lower-complexity projects under Project Manager oversight

  • Provide coverage for Project Managers during short-term absences or workload gaps as required


Project Management Support

  • Support Project Managers with planning, coordination, and execution of major projects

  • Participate in pre-job kickoff meetings, client meetings, and internal planning sessions

  • Assist with manpower planning, equipment coordination, and material sourcing

  • Coordinate with clients, trades, engineers, vendors, and third-party contractors as required

  • Track schedules, budgets, and progress, flagging variances early

  • Prepare draft reports, cost summaries, and documentation for review by Project Managers


Problem Solving & Coordination

  • Independently gather information required to resolve project issues within assigned scopes

  • Coordinate procurement, logistics, shipping, and receiving activities for assigned work

  • Work cross-functionally with internal departments to resolve execution challenges

  • Translate high-level direction into executable actions without step-by-step instruction


Safety, Quality, and Compliance

  • Promote and comply with all safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment

  • Ensure assigned scopes comply with Ketek policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

  • Support completion and verification of required safety documentation and site requirements

  • Participate in post-project reviews and lessons learned discussions


Professional Development & Team Contribution

  • Demonstrate increasing ownership, judgment, and decision-making capability over time

  • Seek feedback and coaching from Project Managers and leadership

  • Share knowledge and support onboarding or mentoring of new team members as appropriate

  • Represent Ketek in a manner consistent with corporate values, vision, and mission

Qualifications and Skills:


Required

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in project coordination, project support, or a related role

  • Demonstrated ability to manage tasks with limited direction

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and shifting deadlines

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable working outside standard business hours when project needs require

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

  • Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract

Preferred

  • Post-secondary education in business administration, project management, or a technical/trades discipline

  • Demonstrated interest in a Project Management career path

  • Exposure to industrial, construction, or engineering projects
