Experienced Concrete Finisher
Whited & Sons Concrete – Hudson, Ohio
Position Summary

Whited & Sons Concrete is seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of concrete placement, finishing techniques, and quality control standards. This position requires attention to detail, strong workmanship, and the ability to lead by example while delivering high-quality residential and commercial concrete projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Set up job site
  • Place, level, screed, and finish concrete surfaces according to project specifications.
  • Operate hand and power finishing tools, including power trowels, floats, edgers, groovers, and saws.
  • Perform broom finishes, stamped concrete, exposed aggregate, and decorative concrete finishes.
  • Monitor concrete curing and finishing conditions to ensure quality results.
  • Establish grades and elevations for proper drainage and project specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and project layouts.
  • Assist with form setting, layout, and reinforcement placement when necessary.
  • Maintain quality control throughout the concrete placement and finishing process.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Train and mentor less experienced crew members as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of concrete finishing experience.
  • Experience with residential and commercial concrete projects.
  • Knowledge of finishing techniques and concrete curing practices.
  • Ability to read construction plans and use measuring tools accurately.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required
