Job description


Responsibilities:
  • Stand up, configure, and maintain Linux servers.
  • Monitoring and patching/upgrades to standard networking resources (routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Monitoring and patching/upgrades to servers and VM hardware.
  • Assist and incorporate security compliance controls as applicable.
  • Support documentation of non-applicable controls.
  • Assist with installation of new or replacement hardware or software.
  • Configure and integrate hardware or software with existing networked infrastructure.
  • Assist with decommission and/or removal of obsolete, excess, or replaced hardware.
  • Document inventory changes.

Required:
  • Active and current TS.SCI w FSP through MD
  • Proficient with Linux. Minimum of 3 years Linux system administration experience (within the last 3 years).
  • Experience with patching and upgrading Linux servers and networking resources. 
  • VM experience
  • Security + cert

Desired:
Should have a working knowledge and be able to use and/or support some (preferably most) of the following resources and tools.
  • Dell and HPE Linux servers
  • Juniper and Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Palo Alto firewalls
  • Ansible•Nutanix – VM management
  • Rubrik – data storage
  • Nomad containers
  • SALT scripts
  • ibreNMS
  • NetBox

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree. Ten (10) years' experience as an SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
