Job description

Description
Church of the Ascension is seeking a part-time (15 hours a week) Coordinator of Adult Faith Formation to become a member of our Faith Formation Team. This position cultivates the vision and mission of the parish while creating or enhancing opportunities for members of our parish to develop and/or strengthen a personal relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Reports to and works in collaboration with the Director of Faith Formation and also interfaces with our other Ministries.
Requirements
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Religious Education, Theology, LEMI certificate, or bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Equivalency based on systematic bachelor's level study, with graduate-level preferred
  • 1-3+ years of experience in pastoral ministry
  • Knowledge of adult learning styles and general adult faith formation needs
  • Working familiarity with the General Directory for Catechesis, National Directory for Catechesis, Catechism of the Catholic Church, Our Hearts Were Burning, Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, Code of Canon Law, Renewing the Vision, civil law and legal issues, Catholic Social Teaching.
  • Must be a Catholic in good standing.
