Job description

We’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and adaptable individuals to join our team as Substitute After School Enrichment Educators.

In this role, you will be part of an on-call talent pool ready to step in and cover dynamic after-school enrichment programs as needed. Before joining the active roster, candidates must complete an onboarding and verification process to ensure they are fully prepared to jump into active classrooms at a moment’s notice.

This role is ideal for educators who thrive in fast-paced environments, possess a wide range of skills, and are passionate about delivering safe, structured, and engaging learning experiences to TK–8th grade students.

  • Schedule: On-Call / Flexible / As Needed (Monday – Friday, afternoon hours depending on program demand).
  • Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on active program coverage hours.
In this role, you will:
    • Be On-Call & Classroom-Ready: Maintain active readiness to respond to coverage requests and seamlessly step into ongoing programs on short notice.
    • Supervise & Engage: Safely supervise students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade during after-school programming.
    • Execute & Adapt Activities: Lead standard or pre-planned recreational, academic, and enrichment activities with enthusiasm and adaptability.
    • Safety & Well-being: Ensure student safety at all times, adhering strictly to program policies, emergency protocols, and site guidelines.
    • Behavior Management: Facilitate positive social interactions and effectively manage student behavior using positive reinforcement techniques.
    • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain precise attendance logs, document daily notes for returning regular staff, and complete incident reports when necessary.
    • Site Preparation: Prepare, organize, and reset activity spaces and materials to keep learning environments safe, clean, and welcoming.
