Job description

GC AI is the fastest-growing and most trusted legal AI platform for in-house legal teams. We're building the future of legal work, and we're doing it fast. You'll join at a pivotal moment-when decisions matter, impact is immediate, and the runway to shape your career is wide open. We're a high-performing team where you'll have real ownership and influence from day one.
More than 1,800 companies use GC AI to drive their business forward, including 150+ public companies, 25+ unicorns, and brands such as News Corp, Miro, Bass Pro Shops, Snyk, Skims, Liquid Death, Vercel, Zscaler, and TIME.
We've 10x'd revenue in 12 months, raised a $60 million Series B ($555 million valuation), and are growing faster than ever. We are backed by incredible investors, including Scale Venture Partners, Northzone, Sound Ventures, and Guillermo Rauch, CEO of Vercel.
If you thrive when the stakes are high and the path isn't paved, you'll love it here. Our six guiding principles are: 1% better every day, customer obsession, ship today, find a way, care deeply, and own it completely. Come shape the future of legal work with us.
Our Solutions Organization
The Solutions Org is the strategic bridge between our technology and our customers. We are hiring across three dedicated tracks (all of which include teaching our Academy classes). Please indicate your preferred track when applying:
  • Go to Market: This team partners directly with the sales organization to drive revenue by demonstrating GC AI's value in complex, high-stakes environments. You will serve as a subject matter expert on pitches across all client segments, tailoring and providing product demonstrations to specific legal workflows and prospect needs.
  • Forward Deployed: This team focuses on the long-term lifecycle of the customer, driving retention, high-touch product adoption, and consultative workflow design. You will own implementation and ongoing technical/strategic customer support, handling consultative problem solving like custom prompt engineering, playbook creation, and workflow optimization.
  • Academy: This team owns the educational engine of GC AI, creating industry-leading Legal AI content and managing the logistics of our instructional offerings. You will act as a dedicated owner of all Academy course content, building new classes and refining existing materials to ensure content scales alongside product releases.

Why We Need You
At GC AI, we're redefining how legal teams work with the power of AI. As a Solutions Professional, you'll be at the forefront of this transformation - blending your legal expertise or legal operations background with cutting-edge AI to help customers unlock entirely new ways of working.
In this role, you'll draft powerful AI prompts, partner directly with customers to solve their most pressing workflow challenges, and teach courses that inspire and equip legal professionals to embrace AI in their practice. Your impact will be direct and measurable: driving adoption, shaping product direction, and building the skills and confidence of our users.
This is a unique opportunity to help define the role of AI in law, working at a fast-moving startup with clear product-market fit, a world-class team, and customers who say they can't imagine their lives without GC AI.
What You'll Do
  • Analyze and optimize legal processes using data-driven insights and metrics to demonstrate ROI and efficiency gains.
  • Draft high-impact AI prompts that solve real-world legal problems and demonstrate value across industries and practice areas.
  • Curate a library of sample prompts and outputs to showcase the versatility of GC AI to both prospects and customers.
  • Partner with in-house legal teams to deeply understand their workflows (research, contracts, diligence, document analysis, compliance, etc.) and design practical AI-powered solutions.
  • Act as the Voice of the Customer by sharing insights with Product, ensuring features evolve to meet real-world legal needs.
  • Lead prompting workshops and training sessions to boost customer adoption and confidence in using AI effectively.
  • Position GC AI as the trusted legal AI partner by bringing credibility, expertise, and empathy to every interaction.

Required Experience
  • 4+ years of in-house work experience. JDs with legal operations experience strongly preferred, though non-JD candidates with a deep understanding of in-house legal operations processes will be considered.
  • Strong background in legal metrics and process optimization - experience measuring legal team performance (KPIs/SLAs), workflow efficiency (process standardization, benchmarking, etc.), and operational improvements.
  • A genuine passion for AI - you already use it and love experimenting with it
  • Proven ability to learn quickly, think critically, and apply knowledge creatively
  • Hands-on experience with legal tech tools (e.g., CLM, automation, analytics platforms, or other legal software).
  • Excellent client-facing skills: empathetic, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly.

Nice To Have
  • Experience designing or teaching training programs, workshops, or courses.

What We Offer
Growth & Impact
  • Shape the future of a rapidly growing startup
  • Direct collaboration with founding team
  • Real influence on company strategy and direction
  • A voice that matters - your ideas will be heard and implemented

Environment & Benefits
  • Competitive salary, equity and healthcare
  • We're a hybrid company - many roles are remote-friendly, while some teams require meeting in person a couple of days a week in the Bay Area office.
  • High-energy, joyful team environment

Career Development
  • Mentorship and learning opportunities
  • Clear path for growth in an expanding company
  • Exposure to cutting-edge technologies and practices
  • Freedom to innovate and own crucial systems

A Note On Pace
We're building something new in a once-in-a-generation shift in technology and the legal industry, so we move at a relentless pace. We expect urgency, ownership, and good judgment even when things aren't perfectly clear. If you need structure and consensus to do your best work, this isn't the right place for you. If you thrive in ambiguity and growth, work with intensity, and want real responsibility, keep reading. We're excited to meet you.
How We Work Together
GC AI is a distributed company with team members across North America, and soon Europe. We believe that because our business is AI, human connection matters more, not less. We invest in bringing people together through our hub model: regular coworking sessions, customer dinners, team and company offsites. If you're in a location without an office, expect up to 10% travel (and more for customer-facing roles).
Team members in the San Francisco Bay Area and Provo, UT (within 50 miles of the office) work together on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. As we grow, we plan to establish permanent offices in more hub cities, and we will look to our team members to help build that in-person culture. We currently hire across the United States and Canada.
Equal Opportunity Employment
GC AI is an equal opportunity employer that supports workplace diversity and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender identity/expression, national origin, age, military service eligibility, veteran status, sexual orientation, marital status, physical or mental disability, or any other protected class. GC AI is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodation to applicants with physical and mental disabilities. #LI-GCAI
