Director of Legal Operations

Help Build the National Law Firm That Will Change an Industry Director of Legal Operations Help Build Something That Doesn't Exist Anywhere Else.

Most personal injury law firms compete to maximize profits. We are building something different.

We believe that when you relentlessly invest in your clients and your team, extraordinary results follow. That belief has guided every decision we've made for more than 30 years, and it continues to shape where we're going next. Our goal is nothing less than to build one of America's great organizations.

Thirty years ago, Husband & Wife Law Team consisted of just two people—our founders, Mark and Alexis Breyer. Today, we have more than 250 team members across multiple markets and states, but the values that built this company remain exactly the same.

Those values are more than words on a wall. They are reflected in our results.

Our confidential employee surveys consistently reveal an Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) above 70—an extraordinary level of engagement in an industry where employee satisfaction often lags in the teens. Our team members stay, grow, and build meaningful careers here. We also survey every client and every potential client, and nearly 98% tell us they are happy they chose to work with us.

Our mission is bigger than growth.

Our mission is to prove that a law firm can grow nationally while preserving extraordinary client happiness, extraordinary team happiness, and extraordinary results. We intend to transform the personal injury industry by demonstrating that investing in people—both clients and team members is not only the right thing to do, but also the foundation for building an exceptional organization.

Our goal is simple: to build a company where people look back years from now and say, "That was the best place I ever worked."\

Today we serve multiple markets in multiple states. Tomorrow, we'll serve many more.

We're looking for the operational leader who wants to help build that future.

This Is Not a Traditional Legal Operations Role.

We're looking for someone with the skillset and passion to help scale complex organizations—someone who loves organizational design, leadership development, operational excellence, and building systems that allow great people to thrive.

You'll partner directly with senior leadership to help build an organization capable of growing from approximately 250 team members today to well over 1,000 over the coming years while preserving the culture that makes us unique.

More importantly, you'll help design the operating system that enables that growth.

Opportunities like this don't come along often. Most operational leaders inherit organizations that are already built. This role is different. You'll help design how our company operates for years to come as we expand into new markets, develop future leaders, and build systems capable of supporting more than 1,000 team members—without sacrificing the culture that got us here.

This is not for you if:

  • If you lean more toward getting things done rather than setting strategy , organizing work, and delegating. We love people who get things done but this is not for a high performing individual contributor. This is a leadership role.
  • Not for someone who is unable to communicate clearly
  • Not for someone who does not want to develop people into leaders
What You'll Help Build
  • An organizational structure that scales intelligently as we expand.
  • Leadership coaching systems that develop managers into exceptional leaders.
  • Clear operational processes that improve consistency, accountability, and execution.
  • Succession plans that allow us to promote from within whenever possible.
  • Workforce planning that anticipates future staffing needs before they become urgent.
  • Operational systems that maintain excellence across multiple states, each with its own legal requirements.
  • Technology, reporting systems, and business intelligence that help every team member understand exactly how they're performing, where they can improve, and how they can succeed.

You know you're winning (the 3 measures of success are):

  • Client happiness scores are at or above plan
  • Cases closed goals are at or above plan
  • Lawyer negotiation score are at or above plan
What Makes You a Great Fit

You probably have experience scaling operations inside a fast-growing organization.

You don't use culture as a buzzword—you genuinely believe that investing in people and living an organization's values are fundamental to long-term success.

You know how to coach leaders rather than simply supervise them.

You enjoy creating clarity out of complexity.

You build systems that make success repeatable.

You use data to make people more successful, never losing sight of the fact that people come first. We have invested heavily in technology, business intelligence, and customized operational systems that have created distinct advantages for both our team and our clients.

Most importantly, you want your work to matter.

Why Join Us?

Because this isn't about running an existing organization.

It's about helping build one that doesn't exist yet.

Help us prove that a company built around people can transform an industry.
