About Us

Canterbury Capital Wealth Management is a wealth management firm dedicated to helping families secure their legacies through tailored trust, will, and wealth preservation strategies. We pride ourselves on mentorship, collaboration, and delivering exceptional client care.


Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Law Student Intern (1L, 2L, or 3L) or pre-law student with a strong interest in trusts, estates, and probate administration. Working closely with attorneys and paralegals, you will gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of an estate planning practice, assisting with real client matters from intake to document execution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Document Drafting: Assist in drafting and formatting basic estate planning documents, including last wills and testaments, revocable/irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
  • Legal Research: Conduct research on state-specific probate codes, trust laws, and tax implications.
  • Client Support: Participate in virtual or in-person client intake interviews and prepare meeting summaries.
  • Probate Administration: Assist with organizing asset inventories and preparing probate or trust administration court filings.
  • File Management: Maintain and update client files using our firm's legal management software.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Currently enrolled in an ABA-accredited J.D. program (2L or 3L preferred) or exceptional undergraduate senior pursuing pre-law.
  • Strong academic background with completed coursework in Wills, Trusts, and Estates (preferred).
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases (Westlaw/LexisNexis).
