Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Title Examiner to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in title examination, an eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Search the public records and examine title to determine legal condition of the property
  • Working knowledge of legal documents affecting title to real property and methods by which they are recorded and/or become liens
  • Determine the tax status of the real property
  • Examine copies of records, such as Deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, vital statistics, and plat and map books to determine ownership, encumbrances and to verify legal description of the property
  • Examine condominium and homeowners’ associations documentation
  • Determine the impact of any recorded instrument in the chain of title such as deeds, liens, judgments, etc.
  • Determine the proper parties to be named in a foreclosure action
  • Outline any title curative issues required and/or identify any senior interest
  • Summarize the legal condition of the property and advise the client
  • Data entry of the results of the examination into the company’s computer
  • Meet daily required quota
