Job description

Job Title: Legal Assistant / Paralegal

Location: Tulsa, OK

Salary Range: $40,000 – $55,000

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant / Paralegal to support our legal team with a focus on state corporate filings, litigation support, and collections matters. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative and drafting skills, experience managing legal documents, and familiarity with court procedures. Experience in commercial litigation is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file Oklahoma state corporate filings, including entity formations, annual reports, and related documents
  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, correspondence, and basic motions/positions for attorney review
  • Manage and maintain both physical and electronic filing systems to ensure accurate document organization and retrieval
  • Prepare and send professional client and third-party correspondence, including demand letters and notices
  • Assist with commercial litigation matters, including document preparation and case support
  • Handle garnishments and collections processes, including preparation of required filings and tracking deadlines
  • Coordinate with courts, clients, and opposing counsel as needed
  • Maintain calendars, deadlines, and case tracking systems

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal preferred
  • Familiarity with Oklahoma state court procedures and corporate filings
  • Experience with garnishments and collections strongly preferred
  • Exposure to commercial litigation is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management/document management systems
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Education:
