Job description

The Legal and Compliance Intern supports the RPM Legal team's operational initiatives. This role involves hands-on exposure to legal processes, including corporate governance, contract, and legal and compliance document management and process optimization. The intern will also assist in-house counsel in matters of general litigation, contract drafting and analysis, employment law, data privacy and protection, records management, and more. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support RPM's in-house lawyers by assisting with a wide range of legal and regulatory matters related to a publicly traded multinational company.
  • Learn and manage various filing systems.
  • Create and maintain attorney-client files.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with business professionals and attorneys. 
  • Other reasonably related business duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills Required for Position

  • Pursuing a Juris Doctor.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.

  • On-site requirement at RPM's corporate headquarters in Medina, Ohio (2628 Pearl Road).
