Job Duties:

Troubleshoot and resolve complex Manufacturing Execution System (MES) related software issues, serving as the final escalation point for programming-related challenges; Develop and debug Java, Python, and SQL-based applications to enhance MES functionality, automate complex processes, and optimize performance; Lead the integration of new packaging lines into the facility, managing the setup and configuration within the MES; Configure and customize Sepasoft MES module by developing and modifying program logic for material tracking, operational definitions, work order management, and automated downtime tracking; Responsible for all standard and custom label printing solutions throughout the plant and across multiple systems (Zebra and Videojet) using Zebra Programming Language (ZPL); Develop and maintain automated, data-driven reports with Ignitions Reporting Module to extract and present data for leadership and operational teams; Design and optimize SQL Server database structures to support high-volume data historization, alarming, reporting, and advanced analytics in MES; Partner with controls engineers and IT leaders to implement SCADA requirements of production model within Ignition Gatewayand process key performance metrics for a packaging line; Provide programming-based technical training to engineers, supervisors, and operators to ensure effective use of MES application; Recommend and implement software upgrades within Ignition and Sepasoft by programming updated logic to support scalability and system resilience; Establish best practices for software performance testing, debugging, and optimization, ensuring high availability and resilience; Identify and troubleshoot critical process issues using Studio 5000, ensuring smooth system performance. Implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency and minimize production downtime; Design, implement, and maintain HighJump's (Korber) WMS solutions, including working with Page Editor, Advantage Architect, and SQL Server stored procedures; and Program, and maintain web services, APIs to ensure scalable and secure integration between MES, SAP ERP, and WMS systems.

Primary Education Required:

Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems

Primary Experience Required:

3 years of experience in the position offered or as a Systems Programmer Analyst

Special Requirements:

3 years of experience p erforming programming, systems integration, and application development within manufacturing and enterprise software environments; Utilizing MES platforms (Ignition, Sepasoft) and Microsoft SQL Server to design, configure, and maintain databases and production systems; Applying knowledge of Java, Python, SQL, and scripting languages to develop, test, debug, and optimize software applications; and Developing and maintaining interfaces between SCADA, MES, and ERP/WMS systems to ensure data consistency and connectivity; Programming and configuring labeling systems using ZPL for Zebra and Videojet printers in automated production environments; Conducting software performance testing and debugging, ensuring that applications run efficiently and errors are quickly identified and resolved; Providing technical guidance and training to engineers and system users on MES functionality, programming tools, and application updates; and Implementing PLC logic and programming (Studio 5000).
