Job description

About Us
Fanatics is building a leading global digital sports platform. We ignite the passions of global sports fans and maximize the presence and reach for our hundreds of sports partners globally by offering products and services across Fanatics Commerce, Fanatics Collectibles, and Fanatics Betting & Gaming, allowing sports fans to Buy, Collect, and Bet. Through the Fanatics platform, sports fans can buy licensed fan gear, jerseys, lifestyle and streetwear products, headwear, and hardgoods; collect physical and digital trading cards, sports memorabilia, and other digital assets; and bet as the company builds its Sportsbook and iGaming platform. Fanatics has an established database of over 100 million global sports fans; a global partner network with approximately 900 sports properties, including major national and international professional sports leagues, players associations, teams, colleges, college conferences and retail partners, 2,500 athletes and celebrities, and 200 exclusive athletes; and over 2,000 retail locations, including its Lids retail stores. Our more than 22,000 employees are committed to relentlessly enhancing the fan experience and delighting sports fans globally.
About the Company
Fanatics Collectibles is a new company operating at the intersection of collectibles, culture, and technology. Backed by world-class investors, operators, and sports & entertainment partners, we are building the global leader in next-generation collectibles. As part of the broader Fanatics ecosystem, we leverage a digital sports platform that spans over 900 sports properties and engages more than 81 million fans. Together, we are reimagining every part of the collectibles experience for fans, partners, and creators.
Role Summary
You'll join the Instant Rips iOS team - the group responsible for the live-break commerce experience on Fanatics Live. We build the surfaces millions of collectors use in real time: bidding in live auctions, joining breaks, navigating a high-velocity chat stream, and transacting in the marketplace.
The iOS stack is modern by design. We're SwiftUI-first, run The Composable Architecture (TCA) across the app, use Swift Concurrency throughout, talk to our backend via Apollo GraphQL, and maintain a clean modular SPM codebase generated with Tuist. There's no legacy UIKit app hiding under the surface - you'll be working in a codebase you can be proud of.
AI tooling is part of how we work. We expect engineers to use it on the job, give it good context, and verify the output - not just accept it.
What you'll do
  • Design and ship production iOS features across the live-break experience: auctions, stream viewing, chat, marketplace, and collector tools
  • Own features end-to-end - API contracts, TCA reducers, SwiftUI views, testing, and release
  • Write genuine test coverage: unit tests with mock dependencies, TCA TestStore assertions, async test patterns - not coverage theater
  • Review pull requests with judgment: surface real defects, prioritize what matters, coach on what to let go
  • Contribute to architectural decisions: modularization strategy, effect management, failure handling
  • Mentor engineers earlier in their career and raise the quality bar across the team
What we're looking for
  • 5+ years building consumer-facing iOS applications at scale
  • Hands-on with AI-assisted development tooling (LLM optimization loops, Xcode CLI integration)
  • Swift Concurrency - async/await, structured concurrency, Sendable, Swift Macros
  • SwiftUI - stateless/stateful view patterns, NavigationStack, performance-aware composition
  • The Composable Architecture (TCA) - Reducer/Store/Action/State, effect management, parent-child delegation, testing with TestStore
  • Apollo GraphQL (iOS) - schema-driven development, Swift codegen, subscriptions
  • SPM multi-package architecture - modular feature separation, local packages, clean dependency graphs
  • Tuist or XcodeGen - project generation tooling; no committed .xcodeproj
  • CI/CD - Bitrise, Fastlane, or equivalent automated build/test pipelines
  • Static analysis - SwiftLint, Periphery, or equivalent code quality gates
  • Structured commit/PR discipline tied to a project tracker (Linear, Jira, or equivalent)
Bonus points
  • Experience with livestreaming, real-time auctions, or high-throughput WebSocket/subscription workloads
  • Exposure to marketplace or e-commerce iOS applications
  • Passion for sports cards, collectibles, or live commerce
