Rydell Automotive Group - Waterloo, IA
Full-Time | Hourly | Non-Exempt
Starting Pay: $22.00 per hour

Rydell Automotive Group is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Clerk to join our team in Waterloo, Iowa.
If you have experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, general ledger reconciliation, or financial reporting and want to put those skills to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, we would love to hear from you.

Rydell Automotive Group includes Rydell Chevrolet in Waterloo, Rydell of Independence, and Auto Plus Iowa in Evansdale.

What You'll Do
As an Accounting Clerk, you will assist with a variety of accounting and financial responsibilities, including:
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Process daily deposits and customer payments
  • Run monthly customer statements
  • Process credit card applications
  • Post credit card deposits
  • Cross-train with Accounts Payable
  • Research and resolve A/R discrepancies
  • Assist the CFO and Office Manager with accounting and administrative responsibilities
  • Perform additional accounting duties as needed

What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience
  • Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office
  • QuickBooks experience is a plus
  • Automotive dealership accounting experience is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with financial and company information
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook
