Job description:

ELCO Lighting, an established lighting fixture manufacturing company in Los Angeles is looking for an experienced, highly motivated detail oriented electrical or mechanical engineer to join our team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and manage new lines of LED lighting fixtures for residential and commercial markets
  • Production quality control and inspection of manufactured fixtures
  • Coordination of UL and CA Title 24 requirements with production
  • Improvement of existing product lines design
  • Provide product technical support to customers
  • Coordinate with the engineering and product development team to develop, analyze and establish the requirements, specifications, procedures and other engineering documents necessary to obtain product listing through UL and government regulating agencies.
  • Work with test labs to ensure timely approvals of product lines
  • Test product samples to comply to UL standards

Requirements Include:

  • Strong lighting knowledge
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working within the lighting industry is REQUIRED.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UL, CA Title 24, testing requirements and procedures
  • Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems in the lab as well as problems in the field
  • An interest in technical and engineering activities
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • The ability to work independently or as part of a team

Pay Range: $30 - $45 per hour
