Strict adherence to company policies and procedures.
Commitment to bring about the purposes of Ensign College.
Reside in Utah and able to teach in person at our downtown Salt Lake City campus.
The Computer Science and Information Technology programs seek to hire part-time instructors (adjunct faculty) to teach various courses. Ensign College has embraced immersive instruction techniques that place a very low emphasis on lecturing. The successful candidate must view themselves as something other than a lecturer. We are looking for industry professionals with the time and flexibility to work with our students and us. They will have a solid commitment to high-quality undergraduate education.
Minimum Qualifications (for all candidates):
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
Expertise in the course content area.
Experience developing and implementing course content in corporate strategies.
Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, administrative, organizational, and writing skills.
Ability to apply field-related skills to developing and advancing course content and delivery.
Strong desire to help others succeed in their career goals.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree preferred.
Proven teaching ability at the college level and an understanding of collaborative learning and competency-based instruction.
Expertise in a variety of technical disciplines.
Job Functions:
Plan, prepare, and teach an approved course curriculum that includes measurable objectives for each course taught.
Guide and mentor students through rigorous experiential learning experiences.
Evaluate student learning using multiple means of assessment.
Maintain a typical teaching load of one to three-semester classes as needed.
Attend meetings/training as necessary.
