Job Summary
The Department of Marketing and Logistics in the Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB) at the University of North Georgia (UNG) invites applicants for the position of Lecturer of Marketing beginning with the spring 2027 semester. The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate courses such as Principles and Marketing Management on multiple UNG campuses. There might be opportunities to teach at the graduate level.

Responsibilities
  • Use innovative teaching and learning techniques to provide industry-relevant undergraduate/graduate marketing courses.
  • Engage in business practices that inform teaching and maintain qualified teaching status.
  • Engage with the business community to further the goals of the Mike Cottrell College of Business (e.g., connecting students to potential employers).
  • Participate as an active contributing member to the service activities of the college.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of teaching and learning practices
  • Knowledge of theoretical and applied concepts in Marketing
  • Knowledge of concepts and Marketing plans
  • Ability to demonstrate best practices of written and oral business communication
  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team
  • Passion for working with students to develop their skills and expertise

Required Qualifications
  • An earned master's degree in an area with a primary focus on Marketing, with at least eighteen graduate hours in marketing or related areas, preferably from an AACSB-accredited institution, is required at the time of hire.
  • Recent substantive and significant experience in teaching and/or industry relevant to Marketing.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Preference will be given to those applicants who have a record of excellent teaching and practice in the area of Marketing and commitment to business education.
