Job description

Talento Search Group has an opening for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk in the Alabaster, Alabama area. This is a direct-hire position and the pay rate is about $18-19 per hour, depending on experience. This is a 1st shift position.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Prepare items for shipments
  • Pick work orders for the production floor
  • Enter shipment transactions into the computer system
  • Maintain inventory accuracy
  • Put parts away into the correct locations
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Unpack and examine shipments
  • Verify bills of lading, invoices, and orders
  • Determine shipping methods
  • Place shipping labels on packaging
  • Place items into containers and protective padding
  • Operate forklifts as needed
  • Post shipping charges
  • Maintain inventory of shipping materials


Experience Needed:

  • At least 3 of warehouse clerk experience
  • Forklift experience is preferred
  • Experience with going into UPS and Fedex sites to enter shipment information
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
