Job description

Gates Hudson, a full-service property management company, is seeking a Leasing Consultant to join one of our residential communities. This role is ideal for someone who is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and energized by sales and relationship-building. What You'll Do
Leasing & Sales
  • Greet and tour prospective residents, qualify needs, and professionally present the community and available apartments
  • Highlight apartment features, amenities, and benefits to support leasing goals
  • Proactively manage leads, document tours, and complete leasing paperwork accurately and timely
  • Review notices to vacate and make every reasonable effort to retain residents

Customer Service & Resident Relations
  • Answer incoming phone calls and in-person inquiries from prospects and residents
  • Address resident questions, concerns, and service requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Follow up with residents on completed maintenance requests to ensure satisfaction
  • Maintain a positive, service-oriented attitude and promote goodwill among residents, coworkers, vendors, and contractors

Property Presentation & Operations
  • Ensure the leasing office, tour routes, common areas, amenities, and model units are clean, organized, and tour-ready
  • Walk vacant and rent-ready units to confirm availability and presentation standards
  • Conduct move-in and move-out inspections with residents
  • Consistently implement and uphold community policies and procedures

Marketing & Community Engagement
  • Stay informed on local market conditions and trends
  • Share ideas with the Property Manager to improve marketing efforts and resident satisfaction
  • Assist with planning and hosting resident events as directed
Schedule Expectations
  • Weekend availability is required, as most prospect tours occur on weekends
