THE ROLE
The Manager, Learning Design & Enablement partners with HR teams and learning colleagues to design, build, and manage scalable learning solutions and enterprise learning delivery within Workday Learning for a highly decentralized organization.
This role develops learning offerings across modalities, including in-person programs, facilitator-led virtual training, e-learning, and static resources, and manages the organization's Learning Management System (LMS) within Workday Learning to enable enterprise learning delivery.
The ideal candidate combines expertise in learning design, content development, LMS ownership, learning operations, and the ability to translate business and training needs into scalable learning solutions.
It's important that this person can apply learning and development best practices, while maintaining knowledge of emerging approaches and technologies so learning solutions and programs drive lasting impact.
This role is based in Los Angeles, CA, works on the People Operations & Programs team and will report to the Director, Learning & Development.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
  • Learning Design & Content Development: Build, implement, and manage learning experiences and content across modalities, including in-person programs, facilitator-led virtual training, e-learning, and static resources, under the guidance of Director, Learning & Development, and in alignment with organizational priorities. These programs focus on employee skill development (e.g. feedback, effective communication, time management), engagement, people manager and leader enablement, and HR initiatives that drive behavioral change, while creating a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
  • LMS Lead: Partner closely with internal Workday team to manage the organization's Learning Management System (LMS) within Workday Learning, including course development, learning administration, reporting, and ongoing platform recommendations and maintenance. Consult with divisional HR and learning teams to support effective LMS utilization, recommend solutions, build capability within Workday Learning, and enable enterprise learning delivery to meet business priorities.
  • HR Training Consult & Design: Act as a trusted partner to divisional HR teams to build learning solutions across HR functions, including Talent & Performance Management, Onboarding, Inclusion, Compliance, and Recruiting, translating people and business needs into accessible trainings and resources.
  • Program Delivery & Operations: Guide and execute operational and administrative responsibilities, and lead project management to support end-to-end learning and development initiatives, including training scheduling and coordination, communications, delivery through Workday Learning, and ongoing maintenance of learning materials and resources.
  • Program Evaluation & Continuous Improvement: Develop an understanding of organizational priorities to ensure learning and development efforts support business goals; leverage participant and stakeholder feedback, employee engagement data, LMS insights, and learning metrics to iterate, improve, and propose new programs and resources.
  • Enterprise Learning Enablement: Operate as an integral member of the organization's Learning & Development Center of Excellence, led by the Director, Learning & Development, by ensuring learning solutions, LMS practices, and delivery are guided by scalable learning frameworks and standards, while remaining flexible to the needs of decentralized and global teams.
  • Occasional travel required

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience designing, implementing, and managing learning and development programs in a variety of modalities (in-person, self-paced digital, facilitator-led, static resources, etc.) for complex businesses with a spectrum of employee types and levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required, advanced degree a plus.
  • LMS ownership experience, including managing learning programs and operations within Workday Learning required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, with excellent training and visual presentation design skills.
  • Articulate expertise required; Adobe Creative Suite skills a plus.
  • Knowledge of leadership development and manager training needs, with experience applying adult learning theory and learning & development best practices.
  • Excellent and organized presenter and communicator (written and verbal). Strong client service and problem-solving skills with the ability to execute in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a consultative L&D or HR role, partnering with stakeholders to assess people and business needs, identify gaps, and deliver timely, scalable solutions.
  • Ability to work closely with others and build positive working relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders, while managing multiple priorities and projects.
