Overview

The Senior Solution Architect serves as a technical leader and subject matter expert, responsible for designing scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions for SGWS product and engineering teams. This role provides architecture leadership for applications including enterprise domain services and support trade, selling, and buying (eCommerce) applications. This role will also playing a critical part in shaping the future of personalization, experimentation, measurement and Marketing Technology at large, with a strong emphasis on the Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem.
The Solution Architect translates business needs into practical solution designs that connect applications, data, integrations, content, personalization, analytics, and customer engagement capabilities. The role partners closely with product, engineering, enterprise architecture, marketing, analytics, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business outcomes, architecture standards, platform roadmaps, security requirements, and long-term technology strategy. Ultimately, the Senior Enterprise Architect ensures that solutions are resilient, scalable, and maintainable, meeting the organization's strategic long-term objectives.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provides strategic guidance on the business and IT alignment, connecting strategy to execution, through a collaborative, supportive and consultative manner, driving the organization's digital business strategies and balancing innovation and growth.
  • Designs end-to-end solution architecture for enterprise products and services
  • Translates business capabilities, product objectives, and functional requirements into solution options, target-state designs, integration patterns, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Provides architecture guidance for platforms and applications supporting customer engagement, content management, personalization, experimentation, analytics, campaign orchestration, and digital experience delivery.
  • Defines architecture and solution designs which leverage the full suite of Adobe Experience Cloud capabilities, including Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Journey Optimizer, Adobe Experience Platform and Customer Journey Analytics, ensuring alignment with enterprise systems, data platforms, APIs, identity, consent, content, and analytics needs.
  • Partners with product managers, engineers, enterprise architects, business stakeholders, vendors, and delivery teams to ensure architecture decisions are practical, reusable, and aligned to delivery outcomes.
  • Creates and maintains architecture artifacts, including context diagrams, logical solution designs, integration flows, data flow diagrams, capability maps, decision records, and roadmap recommendations.
  • Provides expertise and maintains and evangelizes technology standards and guidelines and identify application and technology rationalization opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in information science and technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Typically, 10+ years' relevant IT and business/industry experience, including experience in multiple IT areas, such as technical architecture, architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management, and infrastructure planning and operations.
  • Typically, 7+ years' relevant architecture experience with expert knowledge of Adobe Experience Cloud capabilities such as Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Journey Optimizer, Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, Customer Journey Analytics, Adobe Tags, or related Adobe services.
  • Typically, 7+ years' project/program management experience, preferably leading projects.
  • Experience in an agile environment preferred.
  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments.
  • Deep experience applying existing, new, and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models.
  • Deep experience with business transformation and process redesign methods.
  • Experience developing and monitoring delivery of efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
  • Experience with business capability modeling.
  • Native-level proficiency/fluent in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expert understanding of digital experience architecture, including content supply chains, personalization, segmentation, identity, customer profiles, experimentation, campaign orchestration, measurement, and activation.
  • Expert knowledge of enterprise application patterns, domain-driven design, API management, service boundaries, data contracts, integration patterns, and reusable platform capabilities.
  • Expert knowledge in architecting solutions that integrate SaaS platforms, custom applications, enterprise data platforms, customer data platforms, analytics tools, CRM, ERP, commerce, and operational systems.
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy, consent, security, identity management, role-based access, and compliance considerations for customer and marketing data.
  • Ability to evaluate solution trade-offs across cost, complexity, scalability, performance, maintainability, vendor capability, and business value.
  • Proven ability to influence architecture decisions in a matrixed environment and align product, engineering, business, security, data, and vendor teams around a shared solution direction.
  • Proven ability to create architecture artifacts such as logical architecture diagrams, integration models, sequence diagrams, capability maps, roadmaps, decision records, and executive-level recommendations.
  • Proven ability to coach delivery teams, share architecture knowledge, and promote modern engineering and design practices.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead cross-functional teams, with the proven ability to communicate with business acumen and work with diverse stakeholders, including those in an outsourced environment.
