There is no grading just feedback for the pod of 6-8 students. This 9-11:30 Wed. job (Sept - June 3rd) with additional pay for planning, is a foot in the door to working with amazing homeschooled children creating other classes or becoming one of the academic teacher. Golden Star Educational Services (GSES) is a 501(c)3 non-profit focused on providing quality academic and enrichment opportunities to students ages 5-13. We support learning and teachers by having 5-8 curious, kind and creative students per class. We work with the rhythm of the child and incorporate creative and engaging lessons. We believe that nature is healing and we provide ample opportunities for nature based learning. GSES though secular, is located in a church building in Redondo Beach, and we enjoy ocean views at recess, at Veterans Park. Children have recess at the park and bond even more after classes during an afters program called Stay & Play. Our creative teachers work with the children’s interests in mind, creating lessons that are engaging and specific to those students in the class. The teacher, as an expert, refers to the standards to cover the reading, writing and math goals for the class ages. We also incorporate arts, and theater into our teachings and have a blank canvas for creative teachings! Our Director and Administrator work closely with first year teachers to craft engaging lessons and positive connections with their students. Our students love GSES and continue their educational path with us year after year. Teachers get to watch the students' love for learning bloom and flourish over time.
