Are you a seasoned network professional passionate about designing and running large-scale, next-generation infrastructures? Emergent Technologies Inc., a veteran-owned technology solutions provider based in Herndon, VA, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and support of complex network infrastructures. This on-site position offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects supporting government and enterprise clients. We’re searching for a Network Engineering leader—with both hands-on chops and strategic vision—to join our team in Herndon, VA.


Required Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 11 years of relevant experience in network design, deployment, and operations
  • Strong track record of delivering complex, high-availability networking solutions
Core Technical Competencies
  • Expert understanding of network architecture, design, and implementation

  • Deep experience with routing (EIGRP, BGP, ISIS) and switching protocols (STP, LACP, VTP)
  • Hands-on with network automation (e.g. scripting, orchestration, APIs)
  • Proven experience in cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Working knowledge of software-defined networking (SD‑WAN) technologies
  • Experience deploying and operating MPLS networks
