We are looking for a GAPSC certified GA Pre-K Teacher to prepare the children for Pre- kindergarten by easing them into organized education. You will teach them important elements that they will encounter soon after they enter school life. A GA Pre-K teacher must have a great love and patience for children. Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include knowledge of best practices and Pre-K educational methods as well as the ability to engage them and earn their trust and attention. The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the child so they can more easily acclimate in the next level of education. Salary is defined by the State of Georgia's DECAL and is based on credentials and experience
Responsibilities included, are not limited to:
  • Ensuring the Health and Safety of all children under your care.
  • Responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions.
  • Observes all rules and regulations set forth by regulatory agencies and school.
  • Develop and implement GELDS-aligned daily lessons, according to the daily schedule.
  • Assess students daily and update WSO accordingly
  • Continuously and positively engages with children providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
  • Repeatedly and continuously throughout the day, performs general housekeeping and maintenance, including sanitation and disinfecting, of the classroom, common use areas, and playgrounds.
  • Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines of Kids R Kids Cumming South.
  • Assist in other daily program needs, as directed by Director and/or Owner

Candidate must meet the DECAL GA Pre-K Lead qualifications
  • Must have a teaching cerificate.
  • Must meet basic requirements of all regulatory agencies
  • Must have a thorough understanding of the social and emotional needs of young children.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35lbs
  • Must be a team player
