Mind, Body, & Soul Counseling is seeking a qualified Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dedicated team in Scottsdale, Arizona. This full-time role offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, primarily serving students in a school environment. As a Mental Health Counselor, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough mental health assessments to identify individual student needs and concerns.
• Creating and implementing tailored treatment plans that focus on enhancing emotional well-being and academic success.
• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions specifically designed for ASD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and trauma recovery.
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, equipping students with coping strategies and emotional regulation techniques.
• Collaborating with teachers, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and families to deliver comprehensive, multidisciplinary support.
• Offering crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective response to students in need.
• Delivering psychoeducation to students and their families regarding mental health issues and available resources for ongoing support.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation to comply with legal and ethical standards, including treatment plans and progress notes.
• Participating in regular team meetings, case conferences, and professional development training sessions to remain aligned with best practice standards and evolving legal requirements.

Your primary focus will be on students with diverse special needs, including those with ASD, learning disabilities, and emotional and behavioral disorders. This role requires a keen understanding of the unique challenges these students face, as well as a compassionate approach to their social and emotional development. You will be instrumental in promoting positive social interactions and emotional resilience in the school setting.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required; a Master’s or Doctoral degree is preferred.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical or school-based setting.
• Knowledge and understanding of mental health disorders, trauma-informed care, and a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Strong skills in crisis intervention and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Exceptional communication abilities, enabling effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

While not required, the following experiences would enhance your application:

• Experience working specifically within an educational setting, particularly with children who have special needs.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• A track record of developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for students.
