Job description

We are seeking an Experienced HVAC Project Manager to join our growing team in Smithfield. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of commercial HVAC construction. Candidate must have excellent organizational skills & communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as a team player.

Location: Smithfield RI

Type: Full time permanent employment

Pay: $120-140K DOE

Job Duties

  • Manage the overall HVAC job scope on small and larger-scale commercial projects.
  • Negotiate and prepare vendor and subcontractor purchase orders and evaluate submittals to reflect contract drawing and specifications.
  • Work with general contractors and job foremen to determine scheduling needs and provide relevant job information to ensure efficient field production.
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Overseeing the execution of all work, including quality and production and ensuring that the crew works to job specifications.
  • Provide follow up and closeout documents for completed jobs.
  • Other tasks as required to ensure sound completion of projects that are assigned to you.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in project or program management in the HVAC world
  • Candidate must be capable of working in a team environment, participate in technical activities throughout the development life cycle of the project, and maintain a close technical involvement with all contributing developmental organizations.
  • Experience working with project management methodology including budget development, project planning, project management software and finance/accounting concepts and practices.
  • Ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects simultaneously to keep projects on course.
  • Ability to simply the communications of complex projects to effectively convey task assignments, milestones, work breakdown structures, and critical paths.
  • Skill in demonstrating excellence through inclusion, teamwork, collaboration, knowledge transfer/training, and positive working relationships.
  • High level of proficiency of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and customers.
