Position Title:Community Program Manager - EventsDepartment:Brand and Growth MarketingJob Description:

The Community Program Manager serves as a key member of the OU Health Community team, responsible for planning, managing, and executing enterprise-level events and activations that advance the health system's mission, brand presence, and community partnerships across Oklahoma.

This position encompasses the critical function of leading the planning, production, and execution of high-profile events that engage patients, donors, community partners, media, policymakers, and business leaders.

The Community Program Manager works cross-functionally with the Marketing and Communications, Philanthropy, Government Relations and Community Engagement teams, as well as with OU stakeholders, to ensure consistency, efficiency, and alignment with OU Health's strategic priorities. This role balances strategic event and activation development with creative, high-quality execution, builds trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups, and deliver measurable results that strengthen OU Health's position as Oklahoma's healthcare leader.

Essential Responsibilities:

Enterprise Event Management

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute enterprise-level events across OU Health, including:

    • Community health and outreach events

    • Philanthropic and donor recognition events

    • Media announcements and press conferences

    • Groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings, and facility openings

    • Legislative and government relations functions

    • Business partnership activations

  • Serve as the central point of contact for all external event logistics, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and adherence to brand and operational standards.

  • Oversee event timelines, budgets, vendor relationships, and logistical details including venues, permits, AV, catering, security, and branded materials.

  • Partner with Marketing & Communications on event messaging, creative direction, photography, and media support.

  • Coordinate post-event evaluation, capturing outcomes, attendance data, and key learnings for continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate across OU Health departments and OU University Experiences to align goals, strategies and objectives in our external activation presence.

  • Integrate event opportunities within broader marketing and engagement strategies.

  • Act as a bridge between departments to avoid duplication and maximize impact of events.

Brand and Experience Excellence

  • Ensure all events reflect OU Health's brand personality and promise - approachable, innovative, and mission-driven.

  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, accessibility, and hospitality in all external-facing activations.

  • Create a positive image for OU Health through enthusiastic, trustworthy engagement with all partners and stakeholders.

General Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor'sDegree in Communications, Public Relations, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field required.

Experience: 5 years of experience in event management, preferably in healthcare, higher education, nonprofit, or corporate settings required.

License/Certification/Registration: None.
