Job description

Manager / Learning and Development 

The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for overseeing the Payroll Operations L&D functions. This role is responsible for staff planning, coaching, hiring, training, developing, and providing direct supervision of day-to-day functions and workload management. This role must ensure the accurate and dependable delivery of training across all operations, as well as manage content development and ongoing support. Partnering with peers and stakeholders across all departments is key to success in this role. The manager will uphold the company brand, promote our culture, and embrace the Auris values in all they do.  

Job Details:  

What will you be doing?  

  • Plan and lead staff to support our great team culture and ensure the team meets expectations. 

  • Motivate and engage staff to work efficiently and effectively  

  • Mentor, coach, and develop L&D staff  

  • Address and handle staff performance issues  

  • Create and execute L&D strategies to ensure skill development, deepen knowledge, and improve the performance of our operations teams. 

  • Partner with other L&D leaders to ensure we are driving a progressive strategy and leveraging AI and other tools to increase speed and impact. 

  • Coordinating the development, execution, refinement, and measurement of training, communications, and L&D KPIs. 

  • Ensure L&D initiatives are positively impacting the business through data and clear results. 

  • Identify methods to improve processes, increase efficiency, and implement, as directed 

  • Work with peers and stakeholders to ensure consistency is achieved throughout L & D   

  • Foster a cohesive relationship with operations, sales, business development, and technology partners  

  • Understand the evolution of the payroll operations organization; current & future payroll initiatives   

  • Other tasks as assigned or requested  

Qualifications/ Education Requirements:  

What are the requirements?  

  • 3+ years of experience in the Payroll or HCM industry in Operations, or a client-facing position  

  • 5+ years of experience in leadership 

  • Proven experience driving results through learning and development experiences 

  • Demonstrates a high level of energy and desire to achieve optimal success  

  • Ability to successfully operate in an entrepreneurially spirited work environment  

  • Creative, out-of-the-box problem-solving skills  

  • Proven ability to move proactive initiatives forward and manage reactive deliverables simultaneously  

  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to be personable yet persistent  

  • Outstanding organizational and follow-up skills  

  • Ability to foster passion and commitment in others, and to motivate teams to achieve performance metrics  

  • Demonstrated commitment to leadership development, coaching, and feedback  

  • Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent years of experience in leadership 

  • CPP/FPC preferred
