If you are a team-oriented, proactive, administrative professional looking for a long-term administrative career or an opportunity to grow into the fundraising field, this role is for you. Resource Development Associate handles the high-level day-to-day administrative needs Senior Fundraising Leaders. This role provides assistance in preparing written communications and materials for donor-related activities. The Resource Development Associate exhibits flexibility and agility to help the wider Resource Development (RD) department and plays a key role in assisting with the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of high-level JDC donors. This is a permanent full-time position.

What will you do as an RD Administrative Associate?
Essential Functions
Support to Senior Leaders and Donors
  • Provide high-level administrative assistance to senior leaders including calendaring, meeting scheduling,
  • communication management, travel arrangements, reservations, trip schedules, expense reports and other operational tasks
  • Draft or edit materials such as emails and PowerPoint presentations to donors
  • Coordinate logistical assistance for events, missions, visits and meetings, both in-person and via Zoom
  • Record meeting minutes and summaries
  • Utilize the database (Raiser's Edge NXT) to track, update, retrieve, and collate donor information from donor database and other sources including relationship's history and cultivation process, commitments, payments, reporting, etc.

Project Coordination and Support
  • Meet the administrative and logistical needs for projects owned by the Senior leaders this position supports: RD Seminar (international meetings for the global development team), RD Donors and Federations Forums, RD Board Committee, Development Team Calls, and Event Support
  • Manage workflows from inception to completion for operational and events-related projects
  • Proactively follow-up with team members across departments to ensure projects are completed
  • Work closely with the other development staff to reserve rooms, create agendas, prepare documents, send out communications, and take minutes, engaging with Board members as needed

Secondary Functions/Responsibilities
  • Training and Onboarding for Administrative professionals and Senior Development Officers Support
  • Familiarize yourself with JDC's global mission and work
  • Other related duties as assigned

What qualifications do you need to be our RD Administrative Associate?
  • Experience supporting senior staff members at the director level or above strongly preferred
  • Previous administrative or similar experience working in an office required
  • Experience with database and CRMs such as Salesforce or Raiser's Edge/NXT- training will be provided
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Excel, PPT, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint); Tech savvy
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills; experience coordinating and working on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong English business writing skills

What are the compensation and benefits for an RD Administrative Associate?
This is a full-time position paid semi-monthly at a salary of $60,000-$70,000 per year; in determining where a candidate falls in that range JDC considers several factors, including skills and experience, internal equity, and cost of living in location of work. This role is non-exempt per the FLSA.
