Responsibilities
The Manager, Learning Technologies, Development, and Clinical Systems Training provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for two critical enterprise functions:
Learning Technologies & Development - enterprise-wide learning platforms, eLearning design, and technology-driven solutions that enable scalable, high-impact learning experiences.
Epic Clinical Systems Training - system-wide education for Epic electronic health record (EHR) applications and related clinical technologies.
This role combines visionary strategy, technical expertise, and people leadership to deliver integrated digital learning experiences, optimize Epic adoption, and advance Norton Healthcare's mission of safe, high-quality patient care.
The manager leads two multidisciplinary teams and serves as the primary liaison between HR, IT, clinical operations, and executive leadership to ensure learning solutions are innovative, compliant, and aligned with organizational priorities.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Direct the planning, development, and implementation of Epic training programs for clinical and non-clinical audiences, including Epic upgrade education, new module rollouts, and ongoing competency validation. Guide the creation of blended learning approaches that reflect clinical workflow, evidence-based practice, and nursing process standards. Oversee Epic eLearning platforms and related content within the LMS, ensuring scalability, quality, and security compliance. Lead team initiatives such as peer review processes, superuser preceptor programs, clinical shadowing, policy development, and the transition to hybrid training delivery.

Establish standards for digital content development (SCORM/xAPI packaging, accessibility, mobile responsiveness) and ensure compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements. Manage complex learning technology projects, ensuring clear scope, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication.

Develop and execute a unified vision that integrates digital learning innovation with clinical informatics education to meet regulatory, operational, and workforce development goals.
