About the RoleCanon USA's Sales Training team empowers sales representatives to excel in selling Canon's cutting-edge print and scan hardware and software solutions through dynamic self-paced and instructor-led training programs.   We're looking for a creative, tech-savvy, and results-driven Instructional Designer Specialist (Specialist, Curriculum Develop) who thrives on building performance-based learning solutions for new product launches and strategic initiatives.   In this role, you'll lead the design and development of microlearning, web-based training, and both virtual and in-person instructor-led programs tailored to our sales force. If you're passionate about learning innovation and have a strong background in instructional design, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.   This position may be based out of one of our six regional offices: Melville, NY (headquarters), Jamesburg, NJ, Atlanta, GA, Itasca, IL, Irving, TX, or Irvine, CA.   This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days).  Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs.Your Impact- Conduct needs assessments to identify performance gaps and define course goals - Design and develop engaging, AI-enhanced learning experiences using adult learning principles and instructional design models to personalize content, automate workflows, and optimize learner engagement - Create content using tools like Articulate 360 and Synthesia, including microlearning, eLearning, and instructor-led materials such as instructor guides and student guides - Proactively engage and follow up with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather necessary content, clarify technical details, and ensure timely input throughout the design and development process to ensure content accuracy and relevance - Manage multiple projects simultaneously using project management best practices - Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve learning solutions - Stay current with trends in instructional design, learning technologies, and print solutions - Complete control documents and maintain records in accordance with department standards   Commonly used keywords: AI-Enhanced Learning Design, Articulate, Corporate Training, Curriculum Development, E-Learning, Instructional Designer, Instructor Guide, Instructor-Led Training, Learning & Development, Microlearning, Synthesia, Web-Based Training About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 3 to 5 years of related experience of instructional design experience in a corporate environment - Preferred concentration in Instructional Technology, or related field - Hands-on experience in learning and development, particularly in instructor-led training design, including the creation of facilitator guides and related materials is required - Proficiency in eLearning tools such as Articulate 360, Google Docs, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word; experience with Synthesia or similar video tools is a plus - Experience leveraging AI tools to personalize, automate, and optimize learning solutions - Skilled in designing microlearning, web-based training, and both virtual and in-person instructor-led training, including instructor guides and interactive content - Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE), and learner engagement strategies - Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills with the ability to work independently - Business acumen with understanding of sales processes and ability to align training with performance goals - Knowledge of enterprise office equipment, production print technologies, digital workflows, large format printing and integrated software solutions is a plus - Ability to travel domestically up to 25% - Individual must possess a clean valid state driver's license in order to obtain the position - This position requires driving, therefore a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are necessary.
