Position Summary

We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic instructors who have classroom experience and want to share their expertise in a wide variety of personal enrichment topics of interest to our community. Community Learning Center non-credit classes vary widely in the number of hours that they meet and are a great place to explore hobbies and skills in classes designed for the community. San Juan College may approve remote or hybrid work for adjunct employees within New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and Texas (states subject to change at any time). All requests for remote work must be approved in advance by the Dean and Human Resources. Remote work options for locations outside of the United States are not permitted.

CLCnon-credit instructors report to the Director of the Community Learning Center. Instructors are responsible for course development, teaching and classroom management. Instructors are expected to assist with marketing their classes, with approval for all marketing from the Community Learning Center Director.

CLCnon-credit instructors are expected to have expertise in the area they wish to teach and teaching experience. All candidates are subject to a Criminal Background Investigation prior to any offer of employment.
