Position Summary At Ogden Weber Technical College, we believe in the power of Community, Learning, and Integrity to transform lives through education. We are seeking an energetic and student-focused Nursing Assistant Instructor who is passionate about preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals. In this role, you will provide high-quality technical instruction to students enrolled in the Nursing Assistant program, guide and supervise student internships/externships, and support student success by helping achieve program and accreditation goals related to completion, placement, and licensure.

Instruction may include primary patient, resident, and client care while fostering a supportive learning environment that encourages growth, professionalism, and excellence. Beyond the classroom, this position plays a key role in strengthening connections between OTECH and the communities we serve. Responsibilities include developing partnerships with local employers and educational organizations to enhance student opportunities and program success; contributing to curriculum and program development; participating in ongoing professional development to expand technical expertise and instructional effectiveness; maintaining accurate student records, including attendance and competency verification; promoting college programs; serving on college committees and teams; and overseeing program equipment and assets.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while helping students build rewarding careers in healthcare. This position works under the direction of the Nursing Assistant Coordinator. Essential Functions 1.

Provide students with technical instruction in a safe, clean, and productive learning environment; maintain student records to include verification of attendance and competency completion. 2. Meet programmatic and accrediting body goals for student completion, placement, and licensure.

3. Assist students with job placement and applicable industry or state certifications/licenses in support of meeting placement and licensure/certification goals. 4.

Exemplify, motivate, and advise students in the areas of program and college expectations and appropriate work behavior and dress standards. Assist counselors, supervisor, and other staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting student success. 5.

Maintain contact with area employers; seek and implement feedback to continuously improve program curricula and training facilities to meet industry standards in support of completion, placement and certification/licensure. 6. Complete ongoing professional development to increase technical expertise and instructional skills.

7. Provide oversight of program assets; recommend purchases. 8.

Interact in a positive and professional manner with students, coworkers, and college partners seeking win-win solutions. 9. Complete assignments within established timelines in preparation for employer advisory team meetings, college team meetings, and programmatic accreditation.

10. Work cooperatively within the college community. Actively serve on college teams as assigned and participate in programmatic and college-wide marketing activities.

11. The incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Education and Experience Requirements: 1.

Must have a current Utah license as a practical nurse (LPN) or registered nurse (RN). 2. Must have two years of nursing experience, at least one of which is in the provision of long-term care facility services or caring for the elderly or chronically ill of any age.

3. Preference will be given to those individuals that have teaching and/or curriculum development experience. 4.

Preference will be given to those individuals who have completed a related Associate or Bachelor's degree or applicable industry certification. 5. Proficient in using computers, computer technology, and computer software related to position.

6. Spanish-speaking proficiency desirable. Physical Requirements: 1.

Work requires physical exertion. May require the ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, lift moderately heavy items (up to 40 lbs.) in a recurring manner and/or for long periods of time. 2

Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc. Additional Information WORKING HOURS: 8 am - 5 pm (4 days/week), 12 pm - 8 pm (1 day/week). Each day includes an hour lunch break
