Job Description
The Learning and Development Specialist is crucial in supporting RRD's training and development initiatives and will primarily focus on manufacturing training and apprenticeship programs with the goal of delivering programs to employees aimed at aligning employee performance with organizational goals and objectives. This key role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving our standardized offerings as well as assisting local leadership with coordinating training that may include classroom, e-learning, and on-the-job training. Duties require interacting with various departments and all levels of the organization, from site leadership to subject matter experts (SMEs) and trainees.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM (overtime and weekend as needed)
Salary: $64,500 (non negotiable)
Responsibilities:
  • Perform needs analysis through relationships with local leadership, stakeholders, and staff to identify training needs.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate learning interventions to achieve business objectives
  • Create engaging and challenging courseware and training materials.
  • Implement appropriate solutions for a variety of mediums, including classroom facilitation and online delivery, in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate and/or assist in various training activities within the facility (e.g., apprentice programs, manufacturing training, safety compliance, orientation programs, job knowledge, and leadership development).
  • Develop standardized training/apprenticeship metrics to evaluate the success of all training initiatives.
  • Support local personnel in the implementation of Apprenticeships and related training.
  • Track employee progress in online learning and compliance course completion via Learning Management System Apply standard evaluation methodologies for measuring training effectiveness and analyze evaluation data.
  • Create reports to present findings to mid-level management or HR partners.
  • Make recommendations to partners for changes on how to improve employee performance or adjust training programs to maximize effectiveness and execute those changes
  • Drive analysis of skills development expectations for each role in assigned location(s) and create related documentation in support of performance and training needs through observation and stakeholder interviews.
  • Serves as a liaison between local managers and Corp HR/Learning & Development Demonstrates knowledge of principles and practices of adult learning theories, training and development, and training design and their successful application within the workplace environment.
  • Develops, manages, and delivers training.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to functional work
  • 2 or more years years of progressive work experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
  • Proficient with Google Workspace collaboration tools

Additional Information
The national pay range for this role is $64,500 - $98,000 / year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
