Ecopia's AI-based workflows leverage the latest in machine learning and computer vision to extract 2D and 3D features from remotely sensed high-resolution imagery (i.e. satellite, aerial, drone, street view, etc.). Ecopia has experience leveraging AI and geospatial data to create and maintain large-scale, highly accurate maps across 100+ countries around the world. Specifically, Ecopia has generated maps across over 50 million km2 around the world from fresh high-resolution satellite & aerial imagery. Ecopia is one of the fastest-growing technology companies in North America, continuously recognized with awards from leading organizations such as Deloitte, CNBC, and Geospatial World. Example clients include:

We are expanding into a dedicated civil engineering vertical, and this internship will support revenue growth through prospecting, calls and emails to potential customers.


The Role
As a Business Development Intern, you will support our go to market efforts within the civil engineering space. This is hands on and client facing role designed for students pursuing a degree in business. Your responsibilities will involve outbound outreach, account research, and early-stage conversations with engineering firms. Your typical day will involve prospecting new companies and individual users and reaching out to them via cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and others. You will work closely with senior team members to learn how data is positioned, pitched, and sold into real engineering workflows.

What You'll Do

  • Research and identify firms that align with Ecopia's data offerings
  • Support outbound outreach efforts through email, calls, and LinkedIn
  • Help initiate conversations with engineering firms and qualify early interest
  • Maintain accurate lead and activity tracking
  • Sit in on sales and discovery calls to understand customer needs and use cases
  • Help refine messaging tailored to civil engineering applications
