Job description

Position Summary

The Learning & Development Intern provides College and University students with hands-on experience supporting enterprise-wide initiatives, such as new hire and role-specific training programs. This internship focuses on supporting these initiatives through program coordination, reporting, meeting participation, project-based assignments, and more.

The internship program will run from Monday, June 1, through Wednesday, August 5. Interns must be available to participate for the full duration of the program.

Responsibilities
  • Assists with department-specific assignments and projects to support Learning & Development initiatives, including new hire training programs, role-specific training creation, system setup, system maintenance and more
  • Supports Learning & Development programs through coordination, tracking, and participant support activities
  • Participates in department meetings
  • Supports administrative tasks, reporting, data collection, research, and preparation of presentations or program updates
  • Collaborates with cross-functional partners to support learning and onboarding workflows
  • Attends internship meetings hosted by the Internship Liaison team
  • Completes a final program assessment/evaluation with their supervisor
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
  • Currently enrolled in a Business or other relevant college or university degree program
  • Ability to work in an open workspace office environment, five days per week, and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
  • Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
  • May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds
  • Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment

Work Environment:

  • This is an in-office role, requiring the associate to work in one of our corporate or regional offices 5 days per week
  • The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions.
