About This Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Teacher Assistant/Aide to support our Teachers and Director in creating a nurturing and safe environment for our children. This individual will play a vital role in implementing a high-quality educational program, developing positive relationships with children and parents, and maintaining a clean and well-maintained classroom. To succeed in this position, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work well in a team environment, and be committed to ongoing professional development.


What You'll Do
  • Assist in the implementation of curricula activities that promote child development and encourage active participation from children.
  • Engage with children in activities, ensuring the classroom remains clean, well-maintained, and has all necessary materials available.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents through informal discussions and regular progress reports to keep them informed of their child's progress.
  • Model positive behaviors to encourage self-help and good hygiene habits in children.
  • Ensure a smooth transition for children from home to the child care center, adhering to all center policies and state regulations.
  • Comply with all center policies and state regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including paperwork, files, and log sheets as required.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance skills and maintain the highest standards of quality care.

Requirements
  • Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional child care experience.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • An understanding of child development.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • High energy.
  • Physical requirements include walking, using hands and fingers, talk and hear voices at all levels, kneeling, bending, squatting, crawling lifting (up to 35 pounds) and ability to perform basic housekeeping tasks
